I took delivery of my new Kubota L5460 this week, and I would like to install a radio. There is a location provided for the radio and 2 speakers in the roof liner. I removed the blank radio plate and I can see a wiring harness attached to the antenna wire. I will either have to remove the liner, or the roof top to make the installation, anyone tried this, or is there a better way.

Another L60 owner, welcome! I think if you get the right head unit it is a bolt in application. I'd check it out before removing the top or liner.

We need pics of your new tractor:thumbsup:

You should be able to install without removing anything else, but it is easier to pull the top. On the gl40's you remove all the bolts from inside the cab except the really long ones. If you pull one of those, put it back. Top lifts right off hut is awkward to handle, not heavy.

Nope  if you pull the really short (should be four of these above each door opening) ones put them back. They just hold the head liner up. The long ones are the ones that need to be removed to remove the top of the cab on the GL40 series.

On My 5740 I did not have to remove the top for the speakers or radio.granted its not a 60 series but shouldn't of changed to much. There is a place that sells a wiring harness adapter that would have made it a lot easer (I used crimps & a volt meter), the link was in a earlier thread I started about the same thing. I will see if I can find it and will post the link.

Whoops! My bad - reversed them in my head. 4shorts is correct, once I think about it again.
