Sounds almost too good to be true! Especially with a free 6cm wood chipper. I'll bet the deere or Kabota version would be around $60,000 AUS.

New Kubota M7040/cab & loader is about $43K then whatever the other implements cost

A 70hp deere with the extra gear would be way more than AUS $ 60k thats the fact of life with no tractor manufacturer in Australia, the Chinese and Indian tractors are at incredibly low prices. Resale so far is not tat great on all lines but improving. After all to lose 50% on a $33k tractor means $16500 loss. 25% on a $70K plus tractor is $17500. On taking delivery more likely is 30% or $9900, on an old school tractor 15% or $10500. After say 10 years the cheap price item will still be worth something and if the old school gear is worth 50% the loss is greater than the other ones total purchase price. The maths do not lie, it all rests on the heartstrings and personal preference modified by the hit on the hip pocket nerve.
I got a super deal on a 60hp Foton secondhand (122 hrs) but the rains were holding off with none in sight, it looked like another drought year soon after the worst on record. I was a cash buyer, the dealer was more than a little nervous so the pencil got very sharp on the deal.

What interests me is your details list your tractor (current one I suppose) as being an Agrison???? care to expand your operating history with it?
Sounds like a good deal on the Foton and as Coondle says any of the big name brands will cost you anything up to double that price and the warranty is a genuine on your property no cost to you repairs warranty, unlike the parts only warranty you are used to.

I have seen a lot of Foton tractors in countries other than USA. They aren't that popular here, but they must be fairly reliable as I have seen them in Mexico, Peru and Nigeria. Looks like the warranty is not bad, 2 years better than Kubota, 2 years shy of LS Mtron tractors.

My experience in other countries as well has shown me that Foton tractors are a lot more common worldwide than most Americans would think. I tried to read up on them and they seem like a pretty good tractor. I looked long and hard at them as well and Foton is one of the largest factories in China and build all sorts of stuff. I don't foresee them ever going out business. In the US though getting parts can be an issue (its getting better) and a lot of mechanics are really skeptical on working on them.

I'd give foton less than 10 years and they will have a bigger footprint in the US along the lines of how LS and TYM are starting to become more prominent. TYM is even making tractors for Cabelas now I believe.

If they are chinese tractors, which im pretty sure the fotons are, it actually sounds a bit expensive!! I got 5hp more than that, for almost $5,000 less than that. If your buying chinese, you really got to find the cheapest...if not pay extra for kioti or kubota brands. Chinese tractors are meant to be cheapest.
Also seen some interesting reviews on google about those fotons sold by national machinery traders, must be husband/wife business.

World of difference between a 60 hp tractor of real tractor size, weighing in at 3500kg and a "compact" style tractor of same hp weighing in at 2750kg. National Machinery do not seem to be doing the right thing about problems, but is that the product or the agent at fault. Everyone knows that a dealer can make or break a product's name, I have no complaints about my Fotons but obviously others do. As I have said before weigh up the pros and ons carefully before buying, and that applies to new and secondhand.

Man that is an awful lot of money for a Chinese tractor. I have no experience with Foton tractors but I have heard many nightmare stories on them here on TBN especially with the warranty's. Now to be fair I have also heard many people right here on TBN that are extremely happy with their Foton tractor. To me I would probably feel better going out and finding a better known name tractor used and spend my money, but that is easier said than done in some cases. Our neighbor farmer just bought a new to him tractor about that size and it may be even larger, but he found some place that rebuilds them and sells them for way less that new just a thought but I guess there are places that sell like that it was news to me.
