yep.. all but the worst rusted and pitted are rebuildable

I'd try using some Sea Foam. It has straightened out carburetor problems on my old Gravely when I had it and a couple older lawn mower engines and generator engine.

i look at sea foam like this.

While it may not help.. it SURE will not hurt. and if it even only helps a lil.. I'll take it.

I've used it in small engines with good results too. never any horror stories.. etc..

I use marvel mystery in the 8N and other gas engines. I had a 350 in a truck that had a lifter that had trouble priming. I changed the oil, added a quart of mmo to the crankcase and lifter quited down. Unfortunately sold the truck before I could change the oil again to see if it was a permanent fix. Never used seafoam, what exactly does it do??
