Perfect. Put some monster truck tires on there filled with helium and they will be under the weight limit and wouldn't need to tow it.

I think just as their minds changed when they broke the tiller, they'll continue to evolve. If they are mechanically inclined, I'd vote for an older American iron tractor. And to plan on leaving it there, taking something off to help secure it.
