Thanks guys . Excellent links to sites.
look like others saw something
further south, but could have been visible low in the sky:
Meteor Lights Up Sky Over Georgia, Alabama
Thanks for the links!Well, if you like those sites, try this one for tracking satellites, space station, and other space objects. Its my favorite for satellite watching. Plug in your location with a simple click on the map, put in your time zone and it will show you the many, many man-made objects that pass over your location for any given date and time. Really fun!

Then, if you enjoy astronomy, go here and download StarCalc.
StarCalc - Download
It shows all the stars, planets, etc... for any location at any time as well. I've used this program for probably 10 years. Really nice. Say you're going camping in a few day.... plug in the location and the times you may be out looking at the sky. Print out a map and hold it over your head as you look at the constellations. They pop right out. Another thumbs-up!

I think I saw that on an iPad last year. Was kind of fun really.if you have an I phone, there is an app called SkyView. it superimposes planets stars, constellations etc in the camera so you can find them by looking at the display and moving the phone(camera) If you are a star gazer take a look
