It was about 65 degrees, I agree that it seems like air in the system, I was hoping for something that I could fix myself to avoid hauling it 100+ miles one way to the dealer, they watched the video and were going to conact someone who has more experiance on the tractor about the fix, Thanks for your input!

You might check the amp draw of the plugs it is much more accurate. Not sure about your application but most would draw 80 amps cold decreasing as the plugs warm up. 20 amps each times 4 plugs. A current clamp over the main glowplug harness is an easy test.
Do you have access to one of those infra red temp guns? You could shoot each glowplug and watch them heat up as someone turns the key on.
RX 6010 is a nice tractor I almost bought one it was just a little bigger than I wanted but the price sure was right.

Not sure about this. My current clamp only measures AC amps (not DC).

Thanks for the input Guys, I am going to haul it home from the cabin soon and I will check amp draw when its back at my shop where I the tools I need to check them, I am a Auto Mech so I have a very accurate amp meter I will use to test each plug, The circuit has a 60 fuse in it and a fairly small relay to run it so I am thinking that the amps of each plug is going to be around 10 or so.

This is interesting. Thanks. I was unaware that Hall-effect DC current measuring clamps were available in consumer-grade test equipment. I guess my age and 50-year-old education are showing.

At 65 degrees, the tractor should start with out problems with total glow plug failure. It may run a little rough for a few seconds, and then smooth out. I have seen many diesels leak down, while they set, but run fine after the air is pushed through. It sure act like the problem is in the injection system. A bad glow plug system will only acerbate the problem during the cold months.

I was just wondering if you ever discovered the problem. I just bought a used RX6010 and it is doing the same thing with 239 hours on it and if this is not normal I would like to have an idea what the problem is to get the dealer/manufacturer to correct.
It appears to be normal for these tractors, A friend of mine also bought a new 6010 and his is the same way, Smokes up the shop pretty good when you start it, They have a calibration issue with something on the fuel system but I doubt we will ever see it fixed, most of their attention is now focused on tier 4. Maybe if enough of us complain about it they would fix it?

I wonder if you had a bit more fuel, few more rpm on start up that might clear up some.
