2012 Mahindra 3616 HST w/Woods BH80-X
Been reviewing Threads for a couple weeks now, have learned a lot. I have a bit of land that is covered in trees and brush that I'm clearing to do some planting in the spring, I also need to re-landscape my property and install a curtain drain around the house and of course snow duty in the winter. I've looked at Deere 1025, 2025, and I'm now considering the Mahindra 3016. Performance and price comparison (bang for the buck) on the Mahindra looks to be the best. I got a quote from my local dealer and I just want to see what everyone thinks. I had a bit of sticker shock when I got it, but after breaking it down in my head for the past day or so, it doesn't seam to be that bad. Dealer is in Eastern CT.
Here is a package price for:

-3016 HST
-Loader
-Backhoe
-Thumb
-Mid mower
-Mid P.T.O.
-WRLong RBG2 60 Grapple with Elec/Hyd valve kit $2999 plus 4 hours install @ $350

All of the above including freight and prep $33850

Thanks everyone for helping out the new guy!

That's a lot of dough for that little machine. They charging you 350 an hour for 4 hours?

Thanks Murph, I have a an email out to the dealer to find out what exactly 4 @ 350 means. I had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the price especially after looking at a bunch of the other threads here that had 3016 prices. I'm heading out there on Monday to test drive it and get a break down on everything.

You might want to research a bit more on the mid mount mower. I know there are a few people on here that are not happy with it. Also, when I was pricing the 3016 I was able to save a lot of money by going with a rear finish mower instead of a mid mount mower.

Thanks Cletus, I'll do some more research on the MMM

Hey Murph, I got an email from the Dealer, the 350 (80 an hour) is total for the grapple, hydraulics and electrical install.

That tractor even without the FEL and BH on is going to be heavy for mowing.

To me if you buy all of that, the installation should be complimentary. I'd work on them as well as Deere to get them down. What are you going to mow with the mid mount? $33k for that Mahindra is a lot in my opinion.

I don't know if this will help any but last month I just purchased a 3016 shuttle with the skid steer bucket, backhoe with thumb kit, skid steer pallet forks, and box scraper for 23,700 after a little negotiating. The HST would have been about 800 more but after a test drive I liked the shuttle better. A great tractor, I have no regrets.

Good job negotiating. Similar tractor but significantly better price. ET1SSRET, there is hope for a better price. Good luck.
