Ballast Pie wheel weights

Recently came across full set of ford pie weights. They were $400 dollars had both plates, all the weights, and all hardware. Are there a lot of different varieties? If so what dimensions am I looking for, for a 600? I have a feeling I should impulse buy these as they look good and are complete. I think one day I would like to add a 900 series to my collection so maybe they would fit one of those.

I've been looking at them too. That sounds like a deal. I see them on ebay for around $900. From what I have seen there are 2 different weights available 800 or so pounds and 1200 pounds total.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I believe there are two different weight pies - 35# and 45#. I sold my weights (see my avatar) for $350, but I was missing 2 per side. Each pie weighed 45# and each plate weighed 75#. Some people say the 45#'s are too heavy for the N, but you couldn't prove that by me. Your 600 should have no problems with the 45#.

When you say they come with *all* the hardware, I hope that includes the wheel studs too, because they sell for about $11 each. Also, be sure to check all the threads in those plates.

Buy the set now. The price is very good if the set is complete. The going rate for a complete set is around $650 in my area.

That said, there are various designs. Without relating all details, the major distinction is the so-called "light" (approximately 30 Lbs./segment) and the so-called "heavy" (approximately 45 Lbs./segment) designs. The "light" design is recommended for use with 6/7xx tractors. Ford did not recommend use of the so-called "heavy" design on 6/7xx tractors but one could, of course, mount every other segment.

Be advised that the so-called "heavy" AG style design interferes with the rails on Ford OEM power adjust rims preventing adjustment of the rims fully outward. There is no interference with the so-called "light" AG style weights or the the so-called "industrial" designs, whether "light" or "heavy." There are no interference issues with six loop rims.
