Future of New Holland Utility and Compact tractor line.

Our small town has both a New Holland and Case dealer. Both dealers carry multiple lines. The Case dealer has a lot of Case (Farmall) and Cub Cadet (small utility) equipment on his lot. The New Holland dealer has New Holland and Kubota on his lot. At times, it seems the Kubota items exceed the New Holland for compact tractors. But for full size and bigger, it's mostly New Holland.

I would think CNH would know this is going on and would try to work with the dealers to come up with a solution to sale the New Holland machines. Now Kubota has a tractor over 100hp. Is NH just gonna give those sales away as well? Almost looks to me NH wants out of small tractor sales.

The 2 NH dealers here also sell Kubota. The one dealer stocks 5 or 6 of the economy NH's.

im a NH dealer and the Kubota dealer is 500 yards down the road. he sales a few...one reason why you see so many Kubota tractors on dealers lots is that the "terms" usually 6 to 8 months per tractor are rolled over if there are months left on it to new orders. So they can affford to have so many on the yard at one time and not be paying on them or much any way.....Two, it depends on the area, here in central Texas.....we actually just took over the lead in the compact tractor market.....Us, Deere, kubota...(case has almost no presence)......we do great with the Boomer line and now the cheaper workmaster 35 and 40 compact.......a lot of dealers took Mahindra...(we almost did, but glad we didnt) because at the time, a year or two ago, NH had a hard time keeping some models flowing to dealers yards so folsk needed to fill in some gaps.....You coudl get a Mahindra pretty much the next day from the Houston warehouse.....well a bunch of NH dealers who i talk to on a regular basis, they arent to happy, that has changed....Mahindra is becoming hard to deal with.....

Is there anyone on here that lives in an area with allot of New Holland Utility and Compact size tractors around being sold and used? Around here all of the New Holland dealers that have been blue even back to the old Ford days are now pushing Kubota. This really ticks me off but I must say Kubota makes a great machine. I sit on a Kubota 7060 tractor tonight and I must say the layout was really nice. I just have always been a Ford tractor fan for years in there smaller machines (75 hp and under). I know that there is the same as nothing left of the old Ford tractor in the new designs. I would just like to see New Holland do well. I have always said Fiat has been a much better deal for Case IH than New Holland in my opinion.

Does not look good to me.

My local CNH/Kubota dealer has one or two CNH compacts on the lot.

He recently bought 100 Kubota 30 HP hydrostats for his "package" program.

Speaks volumes.

We sell both. CNH is alive and well. There is a lot of disappointment with the CNH dealers about the LS built compacts. They are just not very good machines. There have also been some availability problems with tractors under 100Hp because of Tier 4. That said, their hay equipment is great, they are doing a better job with some other big AG. These are massive companies, they will never do everything perfectly. It just happens that Kubota kicks butt in an area CNH has been kinda weak in as of late.

as was said previously. Terms are a big part of inventory carrying. Kubota offers double what NH does.. so its 'safe' to stock twice as many orange tractors as blue ones.

Just curious what is wrong with the LS built tractors?
What makes them "not very good machines?"

Nobody has responded to your question, so I'm gonna try an analogy.

You want a Cadillac Escalade, so you go to the Caddy dealer to buy one. When you get there they are sold out, but the salesman doesn't want to admit it. So, they take a Chevy Tahoe and change out all the emblems to Escalade and sell it to you. You are thrilled to drive away in your new value priced "Escalade" until somebody points out that you don't have any of the deluxe features that made Escalades so popular. Not only that, the exact same vehicle is sold by the Chevy dealer for a price well below what you paid. Are you gonna be happy? Will you recommend to your friends that they go buy an "Escalade" just like yours? Your "Escalade" may run fine and have no issues, but I'd bet you would not call it good.
