Another vote for Fluid Film. I will never be without a can again. Good stuff.

Where is the best place to buy Fluid Film? I see the 11 3/4 oz spray on EBAY for $13.79 with free shipping.

NAPA auto stores usually have Fluid Film in my area.

Tractor Supply, surprisingly, DOES NOT.

Spray cans are usually $8.99 to $11.99.

Bought some at rural king the other day, $9.99 for aerosol can. I thought that was expensive, but apparently not.

I usually hit all the rust spots with a wire brush and then paint them with a rust conversion compound.

Does it really work?

I buy Fluid Film by the gallon. It is MUCH cheaper in that form than in spray cans. Remember that shaking it thins it out. If it sits it coagulates. I think the term is "pseudoplastic".

A cheap airless sprayer does a good job of spreading it. It is about the same consistency as latex paint. A disposable paint brush is even more economical.

I covered the moldboards of a shiny bright plow that sits out over the winter. In spring there was not a speck of rust on it. It wasn't used that year and the next year there was some rust in spring. The hot summer probably compromised the coating somewhat.
