Jim, I made that mistake with my Daughter, I told her if she makes Deans List all thru college I would buy her a BMW convertible. She keeps sending me text with her Grades with a smiley face just got another this morning. I better start saving.

Well unless you used that horrid word "NEW" :) Here is a seasoned BMW convertible with low miles (cough) 186,000, for the bargain price of $2,000!!

Good Morning, weather report called for rain this morning, but looks like it passed us by again! 48 degrees right now and they are talking about it heading up into the low 70’s today with only a 10% chance of rain!
Not normal temps or weather at all. I can take this over snow though.
Roy Milford is a nice area, but a bit of a haul from where you are in Vermont. Good luck on the job Sir.

Lot's on my plate for the day with chisel plowing the garden first and then the ever expanding bucket list. Has anyone else noticed how fast this summer went by or is it just me?

sixdogs; Yes, summer was short. I had to replant my garden in April, due to late frosts and a freeze, so lost 1 month of summer there. Turned much cooler this week, and some of my horses already have their winter coats, so summer 2013 may already be in the history books. The only things growing in the garden now: squash, tomatoes, peppers and okra, but the okra will be slow from now until frost.

Good morning, everyone! Looks like my boss is wanting us to make money this week. 13 hours scheduled for me today! Doesn't she realize I'd rather get paid to play on the forum? :confused3: Oh well, commission should be good!

good morning all. A nice sunny day here, the rain never got this way. And as the weekend approaches the temps are going down. Fine, I have a mountain of firewood to split, and who wants to do that in the heat anyway...
got half a field mowed yesterday, will finish it today. Boy it's nice to be back in the tractor seat, now that Nadene is home and comfortable and I can leave without worrying about her, well, not too much.

must be something about BMW convertibles, same thing happened in my brother's family. One of his classmates in our tiny town got into the Naval Academy and his father, who owned the nicest restaurant in town, bought him an M3 convertible for getting accepted and saving him likely many times the cost of the car in tuition.

so...the next year comes along, and my next older brother's son decides to go to the Naval Academy too, and he wanted the same deal....Well, my brother is an accountant and it wasn't hard for him to do the math...:D so his son got a new BMW and thankfully did not crack it up. He was almost top of his class and went on to be a nuclear tech aboard a boomer.
I guess he got tired of cramped spaces, and came home to PA, chucked his million dollar US govt education on nuclear energy, and became a financial planner in his home town. I guess after all those years of being told what to do, he wanted to do his own thing, which is fine. I wonder if his nuclear training will help him start his chainsaw...:D
