MH 44 Special details, please

First post, but I've been here often through the years.

Checking out the MH 44 Special and my research has not revealed a couple of things. My apologies in advance if my searching has been inadequate.

TractorData.com lists the hydraulic flow at 7.5 gpm but the hydraulic capacity as a measly 1.75 gallons. (Says the same for all the 44s with hydraulic info listed.) That doesn't seem right at all. Can someone verify or explain? Whenever you have any implements, must they have reservoir capacity of their own? I'm waiting for a call back to see one with a loader, and I plan to put a snow blower on and would like hydraulic control of the chute.

What would typical remote arrangement be on the Special?

Any idea what the lifting capacity is at the ends of the Hitch-All arms?

Hoping the listed speed of 3.3 mph in reverse will be OK with a blower, given the live PTO to allow me to pause as needed.

Interestingly odd that it lists the PTO speed as 534 instead of 540.

I see width differences. TractorData says 79 inches, but the Nebraska Tests say track width of 57.5 rear. Differences between the types? Pretty important to know for adding a blower, but I won't buy one until I have the tractor.

Oops I knew that should be independent pto. Looking at so many in this age and budget, I got stuck.

The "live" PTO on the 44 Special is not the best, you must pull back the differential clutch lever on right side to stop ground travel while PTO is running. Speed should be 1 1/2 to 2 MPH for heavy snow. Tractors with fully independent PTO can be turned on or off without stopping ground travel. How wide is the snowblower?

This one fizzled. Thanks for the mph info. I'm buying the tractor first, then a blower sized to fit. Now looking at industrials with a shuttle shift to get the slower reverse. Wish I could afford a newer hydro but that's way out of reach.

I have 2 snowblowers, both 2 stage. the 5 foot single auger works well on the MF 35 diesel, the 7 1/2 foot is now on a 7000 AC cab tractor with smaller combine tires on rear to slow it down. Have used the larger one on the MF 85 diesel before but it is barely enough power at 60 HP in heavy snow, and no cab gets really cold!

Thanks for blower info. I'm going to look at a Lorenz 6 footer tomorrow. Bought a Massey 135 with 3f/1r trans x Hi/Lo and MultiPower today, with a Freeman industrial loader with separate front pump. The low reverse seems plenty slow for a 6 ft. blower.
