It's drifting East instead of South. It looks like it's going to miss Lee, Bastrop, and Colorado counties.

Jim did your ponds fill?

Ron, as I've said, I don't know as much as I should, or would like to know about such things, but (1) it appears there would be some duplication with funding available elsewhere, and (2) I'm opposed to raiding the Rainy Day fund unless it's absolutely necessary.

Water is absolutely necessary. The RDF will be more than replentished with taxes from the O&G severance tax. Costs of theses large scale water projects will only increase the longer they are delayed.

We got a line of showers a few hours ago - 1.4"!!!!! My refurbished sand/clay road on the side of the hill has only minor erosion.

I'm approaching 1-1/2" so far. It has been pouring and knocking my satellite TV off several times. This is far more rain than I expected, and I could not be happier. . . good heavy downpours.

I just went out and poured about 2.05" of rain out of my gauge. NWS showed Denton airport, 10 miles away, only got 1.02". Daughter in north edge of Ft. Worth said they had small hail. And we finally got Charter cable installed yesterday, so no loss of TV during the World Series game, however, I dozed off in the 7th inning.
