My 130 throttle mechanism needs tightening. Innate vibration in the tractor makes the throttle lever vibrate back toward the 6-7 pm position, thereby reducing engine rpm's. When I want to run the PTO, I need nearly 2000 rpm and can't get there unless I hold the lever in that position with my right hand.

It appears that tightening the nut that holds the steering wheel down is NOT the answer.

There is a friction disc that you tighten to maintain rpms. It's behind the dash attached to the throttle arm. It is designed to slip to as to not damage any of the delicate linkage points but hold strong enough to keeps the rpms steady. If the disc is worn too much, you can buy a replacement at a certified agco dealer.
