Want a new laptop but do I want Windows 8?

Best Buy website shows the Microsoft 4000 at $29.99 plus tax, so I went looking today at my nearest Best Buy and the young fellow, who came along to ask if he could help me, told me "Those on the bottom shelf are on sale." They had several brands and models, including the Microsoft 4000, and all the labels on that shelf showed $14.99. So I got the Microsoft 4000 and when the cashier rung it up, it came out as $29.99 plus tax. I told her the young fellow back there told me was on sale, so she talked into her little lapel pin and a manager came and changed it. So $14.99 plus tax or $16.22 today.

Microsoft will probably download some more driver control options to your pc. There are many options to use the buttons for but I find the default ones to be fine.
Best Buy sure has changed, for the better up here, to try and keep their brick and mortar operation going.
They used to have loud music blaring even in the parking area, nobody to talk to about the products, and had to go to the service desk to pay for something, if you could find it.
Our recent stop there found it very quiet, clean, well informed clerks in every department, operational check out lines, and a manager went out of his way to thank us for our purchase. I gave them an excellent rating on the on-line survey generated from the receipt.

I agree, best buy has gotten pretty good. Didn't used to like them, but they had the cheapest local price when I bought my phone. When I was doing all the paperwork for it the lady was playing with her phone and I was actually a little irritated by it... then she called a manager over. She had been checking amazon on her phone and they had a better price, so they price matched- without me even asking! I was also buying an otterbox so I asked about that because I knew amazon was a lot cheaper and they price matched that as well. Saved about $80 on the phone and $20 on the case... I was pretty happy.

Yep will always, where I first bought my 1ST PC, also owned some of their stock till it went bankrupt and I lost all that... the stock cost a lot more than the PC!

Let's take it back one more step. Before it was Circuit City it was Federated. They had some funny commercials.

I can't imagine using a touch screen on a regular desktop or laptop computer. Seems like there would be alot of fatigue involved in having your hand or hands extended to touch the screen, and then you have to come back to the keyboard to type something. A tablet or smart phone sure, but not a real computer.

We never had Federated in our area, but I bought my first digital camera, a couple of TVs, and the dish & receiver for our first satellite TV at Circuit City, and was really sorry to see them go.

We have a 20" touch screen all-in-one real computer and never noticed any fatigue. If your arms are that weak, just use the mouse! http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/images/attach/jpg.gif
