Pennsylvania stone wall project...:)

I was able to lay 160' of 4" perforated and "tee" in at roughly 15-20 paces. You can see one of the branch connection is the first image. I started back filling with 2b Friday. I wrapped the 4" with landscaper cloth , and will likely put down another layer on top of the 2b before I fill the top 4" with topsoil. I hope it works. I have to lay some stone at the base yet to control runoff, the local TWP supervisor insisted on the water running down the uphill side of the drive for drainage, that puts it at the base of the wall. I sank the first run about 4-6" below grade, but it also has a steep slope towards the wall, I plan on reducing the slope some too.

Sounds like you have everything well planned out, it should stand for a long time.

I really hope so, I found a used York rake with a blade and scarfier on it for 600 I plan on using to work the grade along the stone wall and drive way.
Its an older model in decent shape, looks well made.

Finally completed the wall, estimated to be more than 130 pallets of stone or more @ 3 ton per pallets, 390,000 lbs. It averages 4' high and is 3' wide throughout the 160' length.
Time to soak in the tub... bubble bath style!

Very nicely done. Looks like it's been there forever.

Very nice work there Tollster, the wall looks fantastic. Several years ago we camped over near Galeton in Potter county PA and we happened upon a place where years ago they quarried that stone and hauled it out on mules down a switch back trail. Would love to have access to a place like that!
