Living way out in the country, and in the middle of the woods, I find myself doing a lot of woodworking! One of my favorite pastimes is making walking sticks.
This is my first attempt at making a Shillelagh like my Irish ancestors might have made.

Thanks all! It is Crabtree wood -- one of the prescribed woods for Shillelagh making, along with Blackthorn and oak?
