what do yall think the best size bucket to get maximum power out of my 3 ton excavator for digging clay or pulling stumps or rocks. or just general digging good ground. any input welcome!! thanks

For gene4al use an 18 or 24 inch would be the ticket in clay. I run a 24 inch on a 3.5 zero swing unit and it handles it nicley even in hard ground or clay.

I agree with the 18 to 24 inch bucket size because the larger buckets are easier to dump. Pulling against a stump it doesn't matter how big the bucket is. Never saw a rock in Tylertown or McComb area large enough to worry about. The sticky clay will load up a small bucket such as a `12" quickly so that would be my concern.
