I have a B6100, it has a slightly smaller engine and no hydro. Very solid machines that just seem to last forever. The weak points are the steering box, loose rear hubs (there's an upgrade) and sometimes the dynamo. My hubs are a bit loose but no biggie, I haven't had the other issues. As for glow plugs, here's what I do to limit starter cranking: ~10 seconds in the summer ~30 seconds 40 to 70 degrees ~minute or longer for freezing temps. This is if it wasn't started that day and it will catch on the first spin when using the glow plugs this way. Enjoy the tractor.

I think I didn't glow plug it long enough. Once held for proper time, it starts fine. I ASSUMED it'd be like my 2005 truck that only needs maybe 5-10 seconds to glow plug & start.

I either need headlights, or to fix wiring to lights. ROPS flashers work. I also need to change all my fluids, just so I know where I stand.

johnthomas, send me a PM. Maybe I could scan and email you a few pages from the manual I have. I know you can buy manuals easily from Kubota for about $20... I was going to get one for a Kubota T1560 mower I had. I suppose that may be one of the few things I like better about JD... most of their owner manuals can be viewed and downloaded from their website, but not so with Kubota.

Now which of these replies seem to be the most helpful? I know.
canucklehead. I'm just starting my searching for info and details and I appreciate your offer. If I can't find a Parts and or owners manual I'll contact you. I bought a parts manual for a B7800 several years ago on disc (haven't had the B7800 in 6 or 7 years) and I saved it on my computer. Still get requests from B7800 owners to email them a copy. I sent 2 copies to 2 different people over the last 2 weeks. Glad to do it so maybe there is a B7100 owner or former owner with it on their computer or found an old manual they had from a long ago tractor that will sell it to me. I'm now in research mode for B7100 info.:D

oops...I forgot to add...when jeff9366 posted his link, I couldn't view anything. I think I got error code or site down. I just checked the link you posted and it took me to page 5 of thread. I see others posted about the site being on/off. I didn't dig deeper as I have a manual.

so were you able to get a manual from that site?

I did get owners manual and already printed it out. If I sell the B7100 I'll give them my new printed manual.:)
