De nada, in fact you inspired me to scrape, sand, and finish my natural wood cane, made out of the bottom section of a sapling my wife broke off of its rotten roots, when she grabbed it to catch her balance.

If it looks reasonably decent when I get it finished (not a given), I'll post some ictures of it.

Yes, blackthorn is what they use in Ireland. I'm from the south of Ireland. I picked up some while I was there in July.
