Ok so which way is advancing the timing rotate pump away from engine or toward? Is this a common problem?

Rotate the top of the pump toward the engine, basically just enough to misalign the chisel marks, and if there are no chisel marks, put them in before you start.

What Galen L said is exactly right. The problem is fairly common I think. Others, including myself had it on 7520s. If its that on yours you should see it disappear - or practically so ... depending on if you didnt go quite far enuf. After youve got it right be sure to re snug all the flange bolting and tighten the attachment well at the "rest" bracket on the back end of the pump. [mine came loose at that bracket later]
