I hope you prevail, but even if convicted, I bet she still will feel she has done no wrong. People like her just boggle my mind, talk about arrogant and entitled.

Just encase anybody is interested in this old thread. My wife just called the prosecutors office. The neighbor has been charged, court date January 8th at 10:30 A.M. We'll see!:licking:

I am interested, I thought about this thread when I saw you post in another a few days ago.

Hopefully this will all turn out the way it should and you can finally have some peace on your own land.

If they put me on the stand, I'm going to tell the judge they need to make a believer out of this woman for her own protection. Few weeks to a month ago I was taking to the guy who is head of the home owners association who has a 10-acre no build zone, (common area) to the west of my 5-acres and the neighbor lady's 5-acres. This guy is 6'-5" tall and about 265lbs. He was cutting up downed trees on the 10-acres for fire wood, the neighbor lady tracked him down, and actually started bumping into him! She is just over 5'-tall, and maybe 100lbs soaking wet. I'm not a small guy, but I'm not going bump into anybody holding a running chainsaw.

Dig a very deep (12') hole. Cover it with sticks, grass and leaves with 2' of water in the bottom (use a tarp). Check it every other month for snakes.

I have been watching this with interest. I am glad you are on the path toward victory. I would suggest that you hold as much as you are able to toward financial reimbursement. It would be ironic justice if you were put into a position to place a lien against the offender's property for your award. Follow your counselor's advice.
I would expect that you should be able to recover all expenses related to restoring your fence at least.
I would hope that the Judge would also apply punitive damages to allow you to recover your legal defense of the egregious actions against you in defense of your property rights.

And if there are not any snakes should you throw a few in?
