Some great dog pics here!

Here is our newest addition that we picked up from the Humane Society several months ago. He is a Bullidor (a new one on me) and his name is Ford. He is now 7 months old, weighs about 70 lbs. Momma didn't want another dog until she saw him

What sort of personality does Ford have? He looks serious. I like the white stockings.

I'd be willing to bet the shots TomSeller mentioned is ivermectin. I had an uncle that had a dog with the problem of mange, and when the vet began giving the ivermection shots, it got better too. Never had a problem after that. Don't know if it was the same sort of mange, or not, but it worked for that dog, every well.

That sounds familiar but I can't find any records on it. It was back in 2008 and I don't keep that kind of records that long. Whatever the daily shampoo was would take the color out of my clothes where i splashed, I do recall that. The daily shampoo was also key I always thought.

Still think a 50/50 mix of used motor oil and diesel would help that dog.

Yes he looks and sounds serious, but he is just a big love bug. He loves people and other dogs and is very laid back. As you can tell he is more bull dog than lab. He has already brought much joy into our family We got a good one

As luck would have it, I found an old shampoo bottle. Virbac is the brand. Pyoben is the name. Contains Benzoyl Peroxide. The back says it is for follicular flushing which is where the mites live, down in the hair follicles, or I guess you would say fur follicles. No record of the shots. You HAVE to be diligent about the shampoo. No skipping of any days. Every day for 7 weeks, but don't worry, it goes fast. I always told her it was going to hurt me more than it hurt her. (she likes baths now)

That's what my daddy did with his walker deer dogs years ago and I think he put some sulphur in that too.

Uhhh, you first...

We did use it on a our dog who got mange once. Cleared it up. Never had but that one dog get mange. Didn't treat him with anything else to cure the mange. He was fine and was a good dog, lived a long time.

I think it might help and doesn't seem like much else is helping so far. It used to be the recommended treatment back when I was a kid. we only had to use it once but all the fox hunters and wolf hunters swore by it. I never knew any body to use anything else back then.
