Kubota bx23

I saw used a used bx23 for sale on craigslist. Checked it out and it looks to be pretty clean and in good shape with the exception being the air cleaner bracket is broke. I know that is common. It has 1100 hours. He is asking 11,900. Is it worth it?

I have the bx2200 and would love the backhoe. Mine is in pretty good shape so am hoping to sell that and get the 23. I am in Mass.

I thought it might be a little high and looked on TractorHouse. I see two there, one for 11,900 and one for 12,900, so he's in the same ball park. Those are dealer listings (their asking prices). I expect they would likely sell for less...

That would be a reasonable price around here for a well maintained unit.
I bought my BX24(2007) with 240 hours on it, 2 years ago for $16K, but that included a 54"mmm, snow blower and back blade. No regrets.
If you really want it, act on it or it'll be gone.

In my experience BX23s ways cost $12000 +/-1000. Even eight or nine years ago that was the price. A used BX23 essentially never depreciates as the replacements increase in price the value of the used prior editions keeps steady.

That's what I paid for mine a few months ago with 225 hours on it.

To the OP, be sure to find out if it comes with all the 3-point hitch pieces. By all reports, they are VERY expensive to replace. I made sure the seller had them on the one I bought.

I just sold mine for 11,500 a month ago. Had 240 hours on it. It never gave me any trouble, great tractor those BX23's.

I bought mine used with 340 hours 3 years ago. In addition to the standard BX23 stuff, it came with a 60" belly mower, 3 point hitch, and a canopy. The guy was asking $12,000 for it and would not budge. I offered $10500, and he said , "Thanks, but I've had too much interest to take that.....but if you have a trailer, there is a guy in Northern Virginia that wants it. He said he would take it if he could find a way to get it home, I'll give him your number if you want me to". He knew what he had and what they sell for. Still glad I bought it!

And, to make Island Tractor's point, you could turn around and sell it today for the same price.
