Just got done today installing these 180 watt 17,000 lumen LED lights on my Christmas present.Icouldnt be any happier, these lights are crazy bright. The pictures don't really let you see just how bright they are.Purchased from amazon for $168.00 for the front and $103 for the rear lights. Very easy install i used the existing wires and switches and just tied into them..
27 watt is what is on the rear of my tractor and they are very bright indeed. And yes the 180 watt lights on the front may be overkill.Ijust hope in the summer they don't attract so many bugs that i won't be able to see how to drive.. lol
Sure does look nice, I thought of replacing my work lights with LED's. I see your in Ky so it may not apply for you, which is good. I think here in the Northeast, in a snow storm that light would make it a whiteout for the operator and imposable to plow snow when snowing heavily. That is when I like to be out the most when the snow is coming down at night. I may be wrong, but I would think it would be like driving in fog with your high beams on. I would like to hear from others how they work in falling snow?
I guess you could just shut them off in that case and use the tractor headlights.
Nice looking install, but that looks too low to be most effective. I'd like to mount lights over the cab, but then they would get torn off in the woods.
waxman, i have a 2006 l4330hstc, i live in NH, no issues with led work lights on rear, however, i removed the front work lights and installed HID, they warm up ,no issues with snow building up etc, no issues with heavy blowing snow, and have had no issues on the rear leds, by the way nice job on the led marker lights !
