Not too brag or anything ... but you're welcome! :D

I accept donations of beer or vodka ;)

Cool! You definitely get the credit for turning the ship around from fuel to seat switch. Can I get partial credit for jumping over from fuel to seat switch once you threw it out there?!
I like being on the winning team...:drink:

Well I guess I am the goat on this one. But I gave it my "best shot":)

Ahhhh... next one will be a fuel problem and the rest of us will be thinking electrical. In my experience, I've rarely been right two times in a row. That's what my wife tells me anyway.

Having said that it shines a light on the advances, if that's the right word, that tractors have made in recent years. Now we're looking for electrical gremlins as opposed to mechanical ones, and I find myself in deep water, if not out of my depth. My background is mechanical repair, but thanks to the job I have, I see a fair bit of electrical and some electronic muddying of what used to be clear water.

What concerns me isn't the tractor I own now, it's relatively simple. It's the next one, God willing, with an electronic dash and computers to control everything. How am I supposed to work on a machine that demands to be plugged in to a laptop every time the oil needs changing? My wife works in the automotive service industry, some of the stuff she tells me just makes me shake my head, both at the complexity and the expense of repairing modern cars.

Hopefully tractor technology will evolve sensibly, maybe an equivalent of the OBD2 system, or an improvement on it.

Geez Chilly, you're a step ahead of me if your wife says you're rarely right two times in a row. Mine says I'm not even right one time in a row. :D

Good call on the switch, but I was with you, k0ua, on the 'dies when revved up' phrase.

With no mention of the seat being moved or HST pedal being touched, it clearly pointed to fuel still being the issue. Drawing out the specifics is tough in typed exchanges like this. Reminds me of the Car Talk guys sending them out to the car with their phone in hand, and saying "Do this" "Now do that"!

Good job all around, though... and helpful to all of us to see the discussions and thought processes, so we can try things before asking for expert input, if we encounter something similar.

Yeah... this is after years of training mind you. She says she'll be happy when I'm fully trained, I told her not to get her hopes up!

Kudos for pointing out the seat switch -- this was a hard one to follow as the OP kept interchanging "throttle" and "treadle" operation (makes me wonder how many people truly misunderstand what the treadle does). Almost like an Abbot and Costello routine. Could have easily been diagnosed as a fuel issue when he said it died in neutral when he gave it more gas, but apparently "gas" means treadle!

That's exactly what I was thinking and about to reply. I would like to get my wife to tell me I was right once. Lol

When I married my wife I thought I'd married the RIGHT girl. I just didn't know her first name was ALWAYS.
