Price Check Kioti DK40SE HST

Total weight for the loader is 500KG. so 2.2 lbs X 500=1100 lb s.. I don't think that includes the bucket though, and I cant find a weight for the 72 inch bucket. I would put it at about 300 lbs. maybe 350

Island I found the weight for the loader, and tool carrier, but not the bucket, don't you think it would be at least 300?

Loader is 500kg includes tool carrier and bucket is 332lbs. That was shipping weight on the bucket.

I appreciate all the help.

The kioti's are very impressive tractors. I am on my phone so don't know how to link. I found a thread In a Kubota forum, maybe on this site, where a l3800 was lifting some very impressive round hay bales with a loader spear.

Everyday I change my mind on these three tractors. I figure with the Dk I would never run out of capacity.

BTW, I am not buying it for the primary use as a mowing machine.
I am 35 years old and have already been diagnosed with scoliosis and the doctor told me to never lift over 50lbs.
So I am always looking for ways to save my back.

Thanks Murph. that is about what I figured.

I would really like to go with the dk40 Hst w R4 tires.
If I take the loader off, do you think I could pull a 72" or 84" finish mower and not do to much damage to the yard?

Just wondering if something of this weight could be used for grass. I have a Dixie Chopper but my back is getting worse every year. The Dixie is fast but it can really beat up my back. Thought a finish mower on a large tractor would be smoother in the yard. I used to mow with my L2550, but it is much lighter and 2wd. Maybe I should keep the L2550 for grass. The plan is to sell it.
I finish mow with a DK 35 with an 84" mower without much damage to my grass.
My previous tractor was a JD 850 in 2 WD. It was around the size and weight of your L2550.
My DK 35 is heavier with 4 WD, but I see no difference in yard damage.

Cool, thanks

To stay on topic, I was quoted $ 22,500 for the DK40se with HST and loader by a local dealer.
Found a dealer out of state, about a 5 hour drive, that can do just south of $21,000.

If I buy out of state, do I just pay the other states sales tax, less then my state,
Or do I have to come back and register it here???
What about insurance? Do you guys have insurance on your tractors?
I need to call my agent , but was wondering what would happen if I had a vehicle accident on the way home and the tractor was damaged or totalled.

Tractors are not registered per se. There is no tag. You have to pay sales tax unless it is for farm use here. Check on your own states regulations. Yes we have insurance. It is usually figured in on your financing, but if you are paying cash that is a different story.. Homeowners will cover it somewhat on your own property, but I bet you will need a rider for that transport trip. You will need to check with your agent. I have KTAC Kubota insurance on my Kioti, but I have heard others say they will not sell it on other brands unless you were a previous Kubota customer, which I was. Sorry I can't be more help here. By the way the $22,500 is a good price and the $21,000 is one heck of a price.

Sometimes the dealer can sell and deliver out of state without charging sales tax (technically you are responsible to report the sale and pay the tax yourself). Possible the savings covers the dealer's delivery charge.

I looked into insurance for the tractor. Things like fire in the barn would cover the tractor but damage or liability out in a field or off your property would not be covered. I pay about $200/yr for an "inland marine" policy that covers the tractor specifically. Mine is through Chubb.

I'll second that $21K is a heck of a price. I know every state is different but I bought my DK40SE from an out of state dealer (Texas) and I didn't get charged any sales tax. Great tractor.
