I was finally able to get my MX5100HST on a trailer and move it with my own truck. I blew the motor in this same truck about a month and a half ago towing an unloaded trailer (large injectors + too much timing) seizing the 2 middle pistons to the liners and cracked the head in 3 places. I just completed a complete inframe and had to properly break it in. Took it for a good ride with my MX and my buddies heavy equipment trailer last night. Happy to report the truck's still together and the jakes are worth their weight in gold when towing heavy.

Nice, good way to break it in. I'm looking for a trailer right now to haul around my new mx4700. According to the dealers math it should be right around 5600lbs with the loader and loaded rears. I guess that's more than a tandem axle trailer (with 3500lb axles) should carry, especially if you are bringing a mower or anything else along to play. For now I'm towing with my F250 2wd 300 straight six. It has a granny low in that five speed, otherwise I wouldn't try it, but as long as I'm not in a hurry it gets me where I need to go. And it gets 16 on the highway (have gotten 20 totally empty) of course that's not towing, just a load in the bed. That rig sure looks nice though, talk about showing up prepared.

Off the subject, but I assume that is a bh 92 hoe on the back of your 5100. How do you like it, and is it easy on and off? I'm thinking of putting a hoe on my Mx5100.

What tires and what are they loaded with? 5600lbs sounds a little on the light side to me. I have the MX4700 with the R4 tires loaded with Rimguard. I figure I am at around 6600lbs with the loader/bucket on.
3770 for the HST MX4700
1650 for the loader with QA bucket attached
1176 for the Rimguard in the R4 rears
These numbers are from Kubota docs and the Rimguard site.

Right at 6600lbs. Wouldn't want someone to overload a trailer or tow vehicle with bad numbers.

Good luck

Tires are the optional 13.6-28s, the tires with the least volume I suspect. They will be loaded with Rimgaurd. I found the specs on the loader listed at 1322 and the standard bucket at 322. Does the loader spec include the bucket? If not it's a little strange how the numbers are alike. How did you find the tire and rimgaurd weight? I can find just the fluid, but couldn't find tire weight listed.

Good call on not overloading anything, though. I think that would be approaching the top of my capacity with the truck, assuming the appropriate trailer was used. I bought that truck for long trips loaded with maple syrup, but it's pretty much retired from that. Might be time to swap it for a 4x4 dually. Lose my fuel economy but gain capacity and traction.

Yea that's a BH92. I love it so far, but haven't used it much. Hopefully we can start our property development this spring.

I don't honestly know about the loader/bucket weights, but always figured since listed separately they were not inclusive. The rimguard web site has a table giving weights for different tire sizes loaded to the standard 75%. Hydro-Flation Table for AG Tires - Rim Guard - Liquid Tire Ballast

Looks like yours come in at 460lbs

Best of luck

Good luck
