I would hope your ice melts today, it is 49F here in Bismarck, Ark but foggy as all heck.

James, not sure if you are technically still in the Ozarks, but I have an idea of the "hills" you're talking about. Sometimes it's better all the way around, to just stay home and chase mamma around the house:laughing: Glad y'all didn't have to walk back too, not fun in the cold when ya have a perfectly fine vehicle sitting at the bottom!!

I'm glad it worked out...I would have gagged my wife before even attempting to drive that van. Tough enough to drive in those conditions...but to listen to a bunch of bitchin, moaning and back seat driving would be too much.

I am betting your wife doesn't read TBN.:)

Yep. Get her some studded snow tires.

Do you been wood?? Wood ashes are absolutely the best I have found. Sand and kitty litter work too, but nothing near as good as ashes.

The other day one of the 'Fast and Furious' movies was on and my wife says 'I would like to learn how to drift a car'. I just laughed and told her 'You practically pee yourself everytime I slide the rear end a little bit around an snowy/icy corner'. I tell her she should practice so correcting a skid is a natural reaction but she is too scared. Can't imagine her doing it with a screaming engine going around dry corners. :confused3:

Anyone have a wife who LIKES to slide around corners in the winter?

Wifey was worried when the minivan fishtailed a tiny bit going up the big hill in a hurry.. her feet were jammed on the floor and one hand on the grab handle, and she was making funny noises.

Dont have any ashes, and yes, studded snow tires, or a set of the winter tires, or almost anything would have gotten her up that last little hump. I would have had no trouble at all, as I would have been going faster down the other hill to start with. But it frightens her.

James...What if your wife would have been there alone..? You could not have rescued her...Hmmmmm? That's the kind of thing I always worry about with my Mrs.

Hm... don't want to think about that a lot..
