I went with KTAC as the tractor is fully covered on either of my properties and while hauling on the road in between, with only the single policy. Coverage also includes damage to the tractor due to accidents during use, e.g., roll-over, limb through the radiator, and the like. You can also add a trailer or implements to the policy if you wish.

I do not have a Kubota, when I checked the forum on insurance from KTAC I read this (•Q- Can I purchase insurance through KTAC Insurance Agency if I pay cash for my equipment? Yes! The Kubota-Endorsed Insurance is available for anyone owning Kubota equipment!!

Sorry, I think the KTAC insurance is only available for Kubota (hence the K). It is definitely worth checking out for anyone with a Kubota. But if you have to get insurance elsewhere from some other supplier, I would look for comparable coverage if you will be operating at multiple locations and transporting on the road.

Kubota has an excellent policy, but....No liability coverage with a Kubota policy.

it's a good all risk policy, so I groaned when they said Kubota wanted it since I opted for their zero percent financing, but
now if it gets stolen, well no worries about calculating 80% replacement value on my homeowners to make sure I'm not in a
contract default, which is on almost all replacement cost policies. In other words...if you underinsure your home's building value badly, you
may not get paid properly on your contents. I'm retired and slightly rusty here, but this stuff hasn't changed in fifty years.
So having a separate policy on the tractor means guaranteed claim payment for the amount insured for. of course, better check to see if you have stated value
(get paid exactly what is on the policy)or actual cash value (auction value) or replacement value(new tractor for old) on your policy. Each of those terms sure means something very, very different.

CNH Capital .. Just email there insurance dept .. Tell them the SN# and the amount...250 deduct and they will mail u an invoice

Example; 50k .. $363 year full coverage anywhere.

I second CHN Capital. Ktac insurance is for Kubota only. I tried State Farm but a separate tractor policy price was too high. Homeowners insurance (no matter what company) would add the tractor price and cover it as additional contents for $25. or less but WOULD ONLY covered tractor while on my property. Once I left my property, drove on the road say to a neighbors property to use my tractor there and I'd have no coverage.

I Emailed CNH with some info and got a return Email within a few hours. Gave them a call, went over details and prices, got a policy that covers my tractor anywhere I go with it. Actually, CNH is the agent, the policy is from Inland Marine. I have full replacement cost coverage including loader, glass, tires and specified implements. Example: $27.5K coverage w/ $200.00 deductible (This deductible is for tractors under 60HP) is about $205 a year and you can get a guaranteed price for 5 years. I paid my premium in full for the first year w/ a CC and they will send me a renewal bill annually. Or as mentioned they will mail you the bill but your not covered until they get payment. Check their website CNH Capital for coverages. Very nice people to deal with.

Just spoke to my HO insurance company yesterday and asked to speak to underwriting. I was told in the past (by those who answer the phone-customer service) that I had no coverage once I left my property. This was stated to me several times in the past. But, it seems this is not true. In the exclusions section of the policy it states that full coverage extends off your property, as long as you are not traveling to do payed work.

An Underwriting agent and her manager stated that my full HO coverages extend while off the property just as they do as when I am on my property. Again, as long as I am not off the property for hire. This was discovered in the exclusions section where the contract refers to "non registered motor vehicles."

I would suggest speaking to underwriting and ask about no-registered motor vehicle coverage in the exclusion section.

I was quoted $1500 a year commercial insurance for snowplowing and landscaping. Full compressive with up to $100,000 to replace somebodies driveway if I drive down it and it cracks or I blade across their prized petunia garden that was buried by the snow. A buddy told me to not plow out anybody whose property I did not get a chance to inspect before the snow, take photos of (especially pre-existing damage), and he suggested dragging a chain over all concrete to make sure it isn't hollow underneath. Also get the homeowner to sign a waver on topical blade damage.

Anyway, $1500 with just over an 800 credit score.

It's a bit of a stretch but your tractors and implements, as long as they aren't used in business purposes for hire, barter, whatever...no compensation whatsoever, are considered the same as your home lawn mower for liability purposes, and I believe for physical damage also, subject to lots of exclusions and limitations. This really is a grey area and it's a good idea to pin down an underwriter or your agent, and get them to put it in writing if possible. The big print giveth and the fine print taketh away...
Your homeowner contents coverage usually does not have restrictions on this type of equipment, so if you had a 300K homeowner policy with 150K contents, you could/should get full value for a total loss to a 50K tractor. Put in a claim for a Steiger and you might get just a bit of pushback...:D

Just completed my conversations with Amica's underwriting dept.-my HO's insurance company.

In summary, with Amica, my coverages are fully extended while driving on a public road for my own pursuits.
For example, if I leave my driveway and travel on a public road while doing work for myself and intention to reenter my property, I am fully covered for
damage to my tractor, to other peoples property and for liability in the event someone is injured. No additional charge/premium
for this coverage.

If I am on the road and going to do work other than on my property or for hire-no coverage at all.

Does your policy cover the most basic state law requirements for a motor vehicle? My tractor is registered but trying to get minimum state requirements for on road are another story. They want like $1,000 to drive my machine on the road twice a year.
