Just saw the post where someone mentioned a 32" Sony CRT....mine that is shown in the pics below cost me $1430 back in 1993, had one $255 repair a few years back, replaced it with a 58" LED Panasonic and the picture is 10X better. My Sony tipped the scales at 155 pounds, much of the weight was the cabinet, took it to Goodwill and they sold it the next day for $29.99....

40 degrees this morning and looks like a nice day.
Expect the winds to continue to blow all day , busting to nearly 20 MPH
Not sure how much rain we ended up getting, but it is still snow covered around here.
I am sure by the tuesday a whole bunch of the white stuff will be gone.

JDGreen, what a great idea to use the FEL!
boy that would be hard on the stair carpet getting the Kubota
to the second floor...need to think on that...

41 degrees on a quiet Sunday morning, only going up a few degrees, but warmer tomorrow.
Let the mud begin...

Hopefully my teenage helpers will show up to haul the huge old Sony out, mine doesn't have a wood case like JD's, but
almost as heavy. Then I can get the "new" one hooked up and have something to watch while on the treadmill.

Foul Rift is a Class II rapids in the Delaware River from mile 196.3 to 196.7, located about a mile south of Belvidere, New Jersey. The rapids are caused by a 22 foot descent in elevation of the limestone ledge riverbed for approximately 0.5 miles, and are considered to be the most dangerous on the Delaware River.[1] At elevated water levels some of the narrower rapids can become extremely dangerous.

wow, learned something new every day. Thanks Larro. This is way North of us and the River was used heavily to bring logs down from Easton to a lumber mill in Lumberville PA to make timber for housing. The lumberyard, Tinsman Bros, is still there, after 250 years, and since my first wife was a Tinsman, boy I know the logging stories by now. http://www.tinsmanbrotherslumber.com/about-us/
I believe they are the longest operating lumberyard in the US, but since their history page on the website isn't done, I'll have to wait to read it.

As someone who has done some white water rafting many years ago, that must be some "hydraulic" at the bottom of that drop.

I wonder what Native Indian was for "big hole in water"...

The river was navigable further North, but the rocks at Trenton, and even at New Hope sure wouldn't let much through.

Got the coffee pot brewing. 57ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79ー with sun and scattered clouds all day. Did not get downtown to take pictures of the birds on power lines. But a flock of noisy Green Parrots showed up for a few minuets. Then left before I could get a full picture of them. Other birds do not seem to be bothered by them.

Good Morning All.

36F cloudy winds settle little.
Snow melted lot yesterday southern sides, but north side not so much and now crusty.
Mid week another mix bag of weather, thats okay longs as temps stay around 30's

36*F, clear and windy. Not enough warmth yesterday or overnight to do much melting. The ground is still under 8-10 inches of snow and I could ice skate on the driveway.

I'm hoping the sun this morning, and the bit of warmth in the air will soften the ice enough to chew up the surface with the tire chains. What a mess.
