Every time I have gone to the dealer to get a fuel filter for my DK45S they always try to give me the cartridge filter, and not the spin on. supposedly the DK45 takes the cartridge, and the DK45S takes the spin on.
Question what was the cost savings using the bladwin filter verses the Kioti dealer filter?Just curious? So had some time today to look at little deeper into the filter issue I have had, and here are the pictures.
Looking at the bottom of the filter housing after I removed the bolts holding it on. See anything that should not be there.

This is what I removed from the filter housing. Seems the previous owner failed to remove a filter top sometime in the past.

New filter (Baldwin PF-872) and o-ring fit without issue. Used the Baldwin because it has a metal bar running top to bottom so crushing should not be an issue.

When tractor dealers are out of business where are you going to buy your tractor?Walmart? What if your tractor needed major repair that you were not capable of doing?I always support my local dealer because he knows what I am talking about when I need parts and service and will not give me that blank stare that you get at the big box store when you ask questions.Glad you got it sorted out and found the problem.
Averting Stealerships, always a good thing.

Good for you, glad you found a filter that finally fit.I am not opposed to dealers and buying parts from dealers, but the closest dealer I know of is over an hour away, if there had been one here where I live I would have been down there asking about why the filter would not go on correctly and they might have said hey maybe you have an old filter cap stuck on the inlet. But there is not a Kioti dealer here, so I do the best I can.
FleetPride sold me the PF872 for 5.15 including FL sales tax.
BTW, do you buy your oil filters, air filters etc... from the dealer you bought your car/truck from?

Some other guy before you didn't buy a fuel filter from the dealership and they had to close, according to coobie. :thumbsup:I am not opposed to dealers and buying parts from dealers, but the closest dealer I know of is over an hour away, if there had been one here where I live I would have been down there asking about why the filter would not go on correctly and they might have said hey maybe you have an old filter cap stuck on the inlet.
