The QSB5.9 i had open lately at 21.000hrs due to a seized crank bearing, has "Brazil" stamped in rockers, block, pistons and connecting rods... And England in a few others.

pretty much what is expected of a loader engine working in a 24/7 glass factory, unless you overstress it, in the next loader size up, at 175hp this engine barely lasted 10.000hrs... Their backup loader has 33.000hrs and the engine (Daf 620) only had regular service, no major repairs...

I agree it's impressive but it's not up to the task for 90% of us here with its low GVWR. Chris

I'm a big cummins fan and drive one everyday but that's true it's not an entirely American made engine. Tough to find anything in this "global economy" that is 100% American made.

You are exactly right, parts for American cars and trucks come from all over the world.
