help need to find 2011 and 2012 taxes

I'm getting PRe approved for a mortgage and need to have my 2011 and 12 taxes. I can't find the paperwork and can't print them off turbo tax because I haven't purchased a 13' tax return through them. Should I call IRS? They will be here in less than 10 days.


First option approved me for 150,000$ but they need to see my tax returns in order to legally stand behind the loan.

The IRS will provide copies of tax returns for previous years. There is a charge for this service, but it may be worth whatever it is.

OTOH, since you are going to have to file for 2013, you could just pay for the TurboTax program and it would be free then.

You must be using a free online version of TT. I have records on my PC for the last six or seven years I can access anytime. It saves a PDF file of past years returns. OTOH if you have purchased TT in the past those returns are stored on your PC. You may have to use Window Explorer to find them in it"s own directory. -kid

I'm surprised your mortgage company isn't pulling them from the irs. I know ours did and I thought that was standard practice these days.

Called my corporate office for my job and asked them to send my taxes. Sent IRS form and asked them to send me a copy too. Both were free options. While waiting I can still shop. Not ready to buy yet but need to look A LOT. Need a home by may and it can take a while to close on one.
