my father drank a bit too much (i guess)... and died from pancreatic problems from drinking over the years at 73. my little brother died at 46 from pancreatic problems in the exact same way - he drank mostly every day. i was a causal wine guy but 100% gave it all up a year ago and have not missed it.. btw, my father did not drink more than the average guy. to each his own.my thinking is that some people might be more tolerant to alcohol than others...given my family history im not going to test it
You are correct...some ethnic groups (primarily those of the Mongoloid race, i.e. Asians) have a very low tolerance due to a genetic mutation.
