My local newspaper is a big disappointment

Speaking of govt' cheese.... my wife's grandparents qualified for a whole bunch of that and govt' butter. Man, we were eating mac n cheese, grilled cheese, cheese soup, cheese pizza, cheese on cheese, for years. Ahhh, good times. :licking:

Late on posting on this subject but I think ole Joey should have been bustin rocks on Christmas morning. I'm fed up with prisoners and convicts. I pay out the nose for tv and have a 15 year old tv. Inmates at the New jail have 4 new tv's per cell with basic cable. No wonder they go back.
Our 20 million dollar county jail houses dome state inmates to the county gets 20 bucks a day to keep them. The county and towns also use them as labor. Garbage truck loaders, on the county road crews . And at the landfill. Hacks me that they laid off 14 employees for convicts. Other gripe about it is some of the new convict trash men were actually gathering Intel on folks schedules and properties. Then having a friend steal the goods and then split it.
The next thing is the convicts working in the transfer station were caught by a deq inspector picking up envelopes with old billing statements or credit card offers. Found out he was taking them back to jail and using a computer to commit credit card and I'd card fraud.
At the rubbish landfill they have 2 out the one on the dozed and another helper. One county boss that never sees the working face. They don't compact the waste and don't screen it for house hold or other prohibited wastes.

It's been awhile since I updated this thread, and it has wandered a bit (usual for TBN and okay). Today, I logged into my newspaper's website to find one additional comment to my letter to the editor. This letter made me feel good because I felt this gent appreciated my position.

"Mr Inman,
You are completely, and utterly correct. Every where you looked this year, in pretty much every school, you saw people doing things for less fortunate people, and they are certainly more deserving of space in our county paper than Joey South.

I certainly hope that those that read this story had the sense to take his religious ramblings with a grain of salt. The fact is that he is there for a reason. Plain and simple. The fact is that he is a repeat offender. Plain and simple. And on a personal note, it sickens me to read his comments knowing he is quilty of the firearms charges he denies. How do I know you ask? They were my guns. I wonder if any of the other victims of Souths crimes heard from this reporter Evans?

What it all boils down to in my opinion is a waste of space on a less deserving waste of space."

So, I actually heard from one of the victims. It kinda made my day.

Just the one guy who says prisons are people farms of innocent people for profit, but he is so all-over-the-place that his replies don't even need rebuttal. He's his own worst enemy.
