The good things about the cold and snow up here; no blackflies, no mosquitoes, no tourists. Bring on the snow!
You know that you belong in the north when can you look outside with a cup of coffee and remember the benefits instead of complaining. Those white flakes in the air sure are pretty.
So how does that enclosure work? It looks like it has an air intake on the side. Is there an exhaust outlet also? How did you tie it back to your panel?
I'd still trade you Paul. but I know what you are saying about getting the snow handled asap. Michigan gets it share of freeze/thaw weather also. When the snow gets wet it gets real heavy, and if it refreezes afterward...........well, I don't even care to think about that right now.
I really like that enclosure. Who makes it?

Thanks for the reply Paul, the video shows it very well. That is a solid looking box and well thought out box. Did you consider adding insulation to the inside at all for further sound deadening? Maybe something like armaflex sheets: http://www.armacell.com/C1256AF100412A28/F/NT01809506/$FILE/APArmaflex_andFS_SheetRoll_Submittal_015_Eng.USA_1.2013w.pdf
We've had that same crazy weather pattern here in Michigan too. From ice storms with power outages down to temp as low as -14ーF with warming shelters then back up around 40ーF for a couple of days. Now we're safely back down below freezing for the next few days. It's great to hear that you're work has paid off and kept you warm and comfortable through it all.
Our cable modem lights are pretty good at indicating when power is restored. The cable system is always down when power is out, it needs power too.
Paul, I love your generator box. I always admire such a well-thought and well-executed job like that. Looks like a premium factory product -- you had me fooled!
