Ever wish you had more snow?

Can't imagine why I would wish for more snow. Perhaps it would be the better of two alternatives, like ice or something.

Agreed, I would rather have snow than ice.

That's exactly why this thread was started. We had three days with freezing rain and ice. It made me miss snow. Now I just got inside from clearing the first 10" of snow we got today. Its still coming at about an inch and hour based on the amount of snow that has settled back where I started, and on me and the tractor. Those cabs are looking really smart today.

I wish my roof had more snow on it.

I worked on it for about 3-1/2 hours today and most places I could walk around on the ice crust--the top crust that is about 1/2" thick, then 1" of snow, then another 1/4" of ice, then 3" of snow. I scooped off most of the fluffy 6" that were on top, but the ice crusts aren't ready to give yet. The total loading is not a worry as of now so there is no reason to beat-up the roof.

The temps here were up around 36*F and my roof unloaded as usual. The only pain is the front door and deck is at the side of the house under the low side of the roof. I've got a 45 year old snow removal expert for that. Trouble is that I've got to feed him.

Better snow than ice or rain. I love a big snow, but it absolutely destroys our family's retail business.

 I'm 42 and still like a meal from mom when I help my folks out. In my defense it does take me 2.5 hours to drive there though.
