I wonder if it is set up like the Kubota dealer did when he messed with mine once. I asked them to check the pump pressures and they re-routed the control hoses, mixed them up so they functioned differently. It took me 2 days to finally figure out how to put it back like it was. I bought mine used and the previous owner had rerouted the controls so they mimicked his Case controls. They "fixed it" supposedly like Kubota configures so I had to push one lever and pull on the other to get it to retract the boom and dipper. I couldn't operate it at all that way but I did finally figure out how to put it back the way it was. That could be your problem if you have been operating a different system. I know there are 2 different control configurations, SAE and ISO and different companies set up per one or the other and someone used to lets say ISO gets really confused trying to use the other. I think Cat uses one type and I think JD uses the other type. Some larger excavators have a switch to flip so you can go either way. It seems to be like the old Betamax vs VCR tape systems, but thankfully one of those finally won out. It doesn't seem like the backhoe operation will win out one over the other though. If everything seems strange, take a look at fixing the controls to match what you muscle memory is used to.Got this last Friday. spent all weekend in the woods trying her out.
the HST was nice. found myself reaching for the shifter all of the time when going into reverse. got some old habits to get rid of. love the convenience of the HST, but kept trying to remember what the steps were to, when putting this in reverse. Like there was some step that was missing.
found that I'm very rusty working with a back hoe. need to spend a day or so just digging and making a mess. just to get used to running one again and get the coordination needed to operate this smoothly.
