TSC 14' Logging Chains On Clearance

I have 5 of the Lowe's 5/16" 20' grade 70 chains for my equipment trailer bought new in 2005 and no problems. No rust after 9 years either.

im guessing yours are the gold colored ones as I described? Looked like the best deal for 5/16 grade 70 chain I could find.

I bought a bunch from HF begining of Dec. 3/8 x 14' with a max load of 5400 lbs. No coupon needed, Beat the snot out of them with no problems. But for that price, so what if it breaks, splice it and go some more.

Breaking a 3/8 chain is not something you do every day. I have seen 3/4 ton trucks take a running start and snap it taunt(4 wheeling). I don't remember ever breaking a 5/16 but maybe I have.
