Tractor
Kubota L4400
I am looking at several Kubota tractors- all used all but one are
L3400. they range in the 12,00 to 15,000 they all have pretty low
hours around 350. now on the other hand, I have a guy selling a
L3430 for 12,000 but on the down side it has over 3,000 hours
I am just wondering how long the Kubot engine and drive train
will last untill I would have to do a major ovehaul. I is my understanding
that the first owner who put most of the hours on it was in the fence
building business so probably took pretty good care of it. The guy
i'm potentally buying it from took it in a year ago and had the dealer
do a once over on it and replaced both front axels. What do you all
think

The price difference is not large enough for me to go for the 3,000 hr. tractor. Your getting 2,700hrs. of use for three grand with the $15,000 tractor.

One other thing is if you run a tractor 5,000 hrs. the first 2,500 are a heck of lot cheaper than the second 2500hrs. so your operating costs are going to be higher with the $12000 tractor.

The cheapest deal is not always the best deal.

Thanks, the only reason I was looking at the tractor with the 3,000 hrs is that the kubota dealer
told me the L3430 was a lot bigger tractor. Guess I just have to reign in my enthusium and keep
looking for the right deal.
