I have done that.You could do that, but why would you need them on the joystick or the SCV lever. , I would think dash mounted would suffice and save the money of the fancy control knob.
I don't know about you, but I like to have the switches in the control grip so that I don't have to move my hand back and forth when adjusting the different cylinders. Not really that big of a deal, personal preference is all.
I'm not sure that it is really all that much more money when you are talking about multiple switches. One switch, yes there is a big price difference, but when you go to multiple switches, the cost difference drops dramatically.
