Front-End Loader Mahindra 6500 4wd loader help needed.

I need to buy a front end loader for a 2003 Mahindra 6500 4wd.. I found a used Westendorf loader that will fit my tractor but the brackets came off a MF 699. I called Westendorf and they want about 1800 plus freight for the brackets that fit my tractor. Any one have any idea if they can be made to fit my tractor. What other loaders would fit. Do I always have to have brackets made just for my tractor? By the time I get the used loader, the brackets, joy stick its almost as much as buying a new loader from Westendorf. Any thoughts on this? KMW Ltd. made the FEL for my 6000 ('02 model)...stands for Kansas Machine Works...they make good stuff....try em'. BobG in VA

I bought my tractor with a KMW loader from the dealer. It was the best attachment I have ever owned. Unless you have the tools and ability to fab (or re-fab) a mounting bracket, consider a unit designed for the specific tractor.

I looked at all the options to put a subframe mounted BH on my 3510. For only a little more $$, went with a Mahindra 509 which is made by Bradco for Mahindra. Fit perfect and works great.

Sometime you get what you pay for!

Mixing used and/or modified attachments can be cheap if you have skills and equipment.............and time. If not, buy what was designed for it. If the same price for used modified .vs new is close, I'll go with new every time. Any brackets used will have to be modified to fit your 6500, if they were not designed and built for a 6500. Also, a new loader just might be stronger and be able to lift more.

After checking around a little for someone to modify the used one and getting prices I have just decided to order a new Westendorf. It will come with everything I need, Loader, brackets, hay spear, skidster package, and joy stick. Might as well just bite the bullet. Must be a gold plated bullet though.

Not gold plated, but worth their weight in gold. Congrats on the new toy:confused3:, eh.......I mean piece of equipment.:licking:
