Does anyone remember sparc asking about how to grow or dispose of pallets ?
In this forum I have learned about Miss Pipette,Miss Briquette ( I hear a hot item) mathematical tables,frog farts, duck farts and numerous other subjects. I now know what country folks do in the off months. I have one question, WHAT THE HECK ABOUT THE PALLETS ?
I now know what it means to keep an idiot in suspense.

Well ole Sparc, lightweighted out and would never stop to ask the farmer in question why the heck was he doing that with the pallets. Since I don't have any pallets in any farmers fields around here and no-one else does either.. We are just making up out of whole cloth what we don't know. All in the name of "science" of course.

Add to this the limiting factors of our deliberations; one of the major parameters initially reported was that the pallet formations are erected in late Autumn and disassembled in early Spring, yet the phenomena was only brought to our collective attention in the first third of Winter. Owing to the disappearance of sparc, the TBN Scientific Community cannot accurately replicate the exact location, measured distance between and dimensions of the erections. Indeed, we may well have to wait until the upcoming North American Autumn season to begin the hard science determining the reason behind the mysterious pallet placements.

There is an opportunity to conduct preliminary pallet placement experiments here in the Southern Hemisphere as our Autumn will be approaching in late May to early June but it must be understood that "we're no New Jersey" (as the saying goes). The findings will be skewed.

As to the question of why we of the TBN Scientific Community are pursuing this endevour, Waskom John? This is what makes TBN the premier site that it is... a question is posed and Members do their utmost to provide an answer.

And, as James stated, it's "All in the name of "science" of course."

OK, it's time we got back to serious science.

Earlier, blueriver advanced an hypothesis regarding the pallet formations -- they were some sort of trap.

I found my barn cats sleeping under the pallets .. Conclusion .. The pallets are a (starts with P has 5 letters ends in Y) Trap ..

However, he left us hanging as to what exactly is trapped by the formations. I offered a few guesses as to what is trapped, and Depmandog did an excellent job of listing the possibilities that he had gleaned from the scientific literature.
