Shocking to me that you are losing one that close to Portland, yet ours in Eugene seem to be doing fine.
I am guessing that the Mahindra of Eugene is the one 2 1/2 hours from you. If not' give them a try. They are very friendly folks that you may like as well. Mahindra isn't my tractor, so I haven't had a lot to do with them. What I have had for contact has been very pleasant. Whatever happens, I am sorta doubting that your tractor will need much dealer work. All the newer tractors seem to hold together very well if you do the basic oil and filter changes and keep them greased. Hope you find someplace that you are happy with.

Same thing happened to me bought the Mahindra, dealer never said a word to me. I go by the dealer we no longer sell Mahindra or service them:shocked:! Selling dealer was less then 20 miles away from me and one reason why I purchased from them. At that time the nearest dealer was 305 miles away:pullinghair:, kind of lucky another dealership picked up the Mahindra line and is about 70 miles away now:thumbsup:. So far the Mahindra has not given me any trouble and so far no need to take to dealer.

We had a local dealer who sold Mazda. They dropped Mazda. Now, I have to go out of town for parts. I'll think hard before I buy from that dealer again.

The nearest store will be Eugene; I will have to establish some type of internet or phone account for parts.

Out here at the Western-end of the Oregon Trail; having to "order out" for 60-70% of everything I buy is the norm anyway.

I "e" wrote the Eugene dealership today and the message was automatically-transferred to Mahindra Inc. The internet inquiry "lead" (Angela) politely responded right away; it seems Mahindra has already laid some ground-work for the transitions stemming from the loss of this great dealership. She also told me my inquiry would be passed-on to the Eugene store and the Territory Business Manager.

The "silver lining" associated with traveling to Eugene is that the dealership is only a couple/few miles away from a national sporting goods chain I like to visit & shop at any chance I get.

Count yourself lucky, Mate. The closest tractor dealers to me (all makes, including mine) is a pleasant 2.5hr one-way trip.

Like you, there's a major hardware warehouse + a horse tack shop close by, so my trips aren't wasted (expensive, but not wasted). If there's difficulty with my tractors though, they'll send a mobile mechanic.

They are nice people and great Americans too; epic to see them close-down.

:(
that sucks!
The stability of the dealers is one of the reasons I went orange with my new tractor, My closest mah dealer is 45 min away and it seems like a sideline for him and the next closest is 1 1/2 hours away. I liked there product but the dealer network scared me off.

The only real plus I can give you about your now long drive to Eugene Mahindra store is that once you get a relationship going with them, they will be around for a very long time. They used to be just a chainsaw repair and sales facility. And they have been in business for 30 years. The son wanted to expand and since they got the new dealership store cheap they needed something to fill the space. Hence, Mahindra dealership got started in Eugene. They are a family organization and the son wants to do this until he retires and he is in his 40's. All the people there are very responsive and if you give them a heads up about what you need before the trip, I am sure they will do everything possible to accommodate you. They are a new dealership, so parts on hand could still be an issue. I repeat, please give them a heads up before coming as to what you need. At least they are very good to work with. Had I not bought a Kubota, just their attitude would have sold me on Mahindra. Wishing you and that beautiful Mahindra the best.

This is rotten news Trask. They really stuck by you when you were having your hydro problems. My M dealer has been around selling M's since 1996. When the father died about a year and a half ago, they almost closed down themselves.
