Snowy West Michigan

Hi you all;

I live in West Mich. (DUH subject line) Work on bank equipment as a job, maintain ten acres of clay and swamp as a headache.

My land is what we call a long 10 (330' x 1320') long and narrow. My house is about 700' back from the road, but the Driveway is almost 900' because of the need for turns to avoid swamp, and wet areas.

I own and use a Kubota BX1500 with a FEL, 5' backblade, 48" belly mower, and a BX2650 front mount snowblower. I have a Berco plastic cab on it for snowblowing, and have about 550 hours on the 2 cyclinder diesel motor.

Someday I will retire, but last time i tried i gained 40 pounds over a winter.

I have live in West Mich. for 60 of my 65 years, found out what heaven was two years ago when I spent the winter working on a project in the high desert north of Mexico City.

90+ inches of snow so far, coldest January on record Feb not much better.

I remember the winter of '78/'79 in Western Michigan. I probably will never see that much snow again, but the temps here in NE Ohio this year are as cold as I ever remember a winter being.

Just think how cold it would be if it weren't for global warming
