Congrads coob, I still have few more years left. I don't take to many trouble calls anymore, but do take a few out of town calls for all the "double bubble". After 2 days I'm ready o come home, lol.
I remember helping consumers power in the 90's when I worked for commonwealth Edison. Good luck!

I sure won,t miss the phone ringing all times of the day & night.I used to be a trouble shooter back in the middle 1990,s.Used to be on call every other week 24-7 for almost 3 years straight just about killed me.LOL.Take care and stay safe.

I know what you are saying work 12 hour days then 12 hour nights for 15 out of 32 years.i retired in 2009 it took me 2 years to adjust.I would wake up and was thinking i had to go to work.

I retired from the military 2 years ago. Deployed a LOT the last ten years. I still catch myself mentally thinking about preparation for the next trip.

I highly recommend retirement. The hours are great!!!! There's two days in the week, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday just comes 6 times.

well good for you man i hope you have a good retirement and could enjoy the good live because that what i was for almost 15 year until my accident fell off a 40ft pole busted both knees and busted my back stop working 13 of october 87 lucky that im not paralyse from the waist down

Retired after 41 years at a natural gas utility company. When I look back now I don't know how I survived the winters working outside all the time. Takes its toll. God Bless you Stay healthy and do the things you always wanted to do. Life isn't forever.
