I need to change out the transmission fluid in my CK30 tomorrow and I'm looking for tips on refilling it - got it all drained out this afternoon. Mostly I'm wondering if there is a trick to getting almost 7 and 1/4 gallons of fluid down that 1 inch fill hole without making a mess and taking all day.

I have 1, 5 gallon container, and 3, 1 gallon containers. I was leaning towards starting off with the one gallon containers, and then transferring a gallon from the 5, into one of the 1 gallon containers and repeat as necessary. Trying to pour a funnels worth out of that 5 gallon bucket seems a disaster waiting to happen.

There appears to be a air release bolt on top of the housing so I will remove that, and keep the dip stick out to let air escape, but other than that, looking to see if anyone has any tricks.

Thanks!

good siphon hose works with the 5 gallon container in the drivers seat.

Whichever you do, do it slowly. IF the oil decides to burp out the fill hole you will wear it.

I used this one: 5 Gallon Oil Pump

It screws onto the pop-up lip of a 5 gal pail and gets almost all of the oil out of the pail. On mine, the clear hose leaked at both ends from pumping pressure, so I added a couple small hose clamps and all was well.

Ya know, I didn't even see that one, but then again it must have been in the high dollar isle.
