If I recall right there should be a small inspection plate on the right rear side by the flywheel. We have a 2510 we are restoring ( new paint, decals)
right now. I'll look to be sure and get back to you.
Oh and post some pics please!

Right now Im not in my house so i wouldn't be able to upload the photos until 4:00 pm central time, so I look for that plate and then what, what those that tells me?

If you're trying to time the frt timing gears it requires a special tool.

My bad, I was thinking diesel, I just went and looked at ours and didn't find any marks either.
I'll do some talking to my brother the ace mechanic and get back to you.

You are talking gas right? If not tx Jim probably has the answer.

If you took the injector pump off you're gonna need a book, it's quite a process that needs to be followed.

oh ok, and what kind of book? I searched up the manual and it gave me three different ones; the owners manual, installation manual, and service manual

Service manual will walk you through it pretty good.

If you're trying to time the frt timing gears it requires a special tool.

First picture is the tool, you could make this. Second picture shows tool in use, timing the cam, timing mark on cam gear is approx. 5 o'clock tool crosses the timing mark and center of cam shaft. Crank shaft is #1 piston at TDC

Yours will have the inspection cover on LEFT side. See attached drawing. Key 13 is reversed and inserted back in same hole. The flywheel has hole that will line up when the #1 piston is at TDC.

How would we use it?

First set your crank shaft to #1 piston at TDC. Use the tool to line up the center of the crankshaft with the center of the shaft you are timing. Timing mark will be on the line BETWEEN the two center lines (crank shaft center line and shaft you are timing). You need to time the cam shaft, each balance shaft and the drive gear for inj pump.
