Anyone else notice a rash on new posters with one line comments?

I have more than enough trouble keeping track of one user name and one profile in a forum without going to the trouble of using two or more. I realise there are some people like that, the same as some people are A-holes. It is just a matter of weeding out the good responses from the bad and figuring out the people that wont steer you wrong.

What is wrong when a member posta "Nice Job" when someone posts pictures of their Project or Tractor? Such a response contributes to the recognition of a member completing a project. The same thing goes when recognizing a New Member. Some members may only want to add to their post count, but I don't think that all members do this. Many members only want to add to the friendly atmosphere on TBN, except "Friendly Poliics". Just a thought.

That's exactly what I thought, I guess I'm guilty of that, I didn't know it was a crime here, sorry. I guess I'll have to wait to post when I can think of a couple of paragraphs to write. :confused3:

I am not familiar with the term "burner profile", but I would assume it is the same as a "burner" cellphone. In other words, a phone you can use to make a call you do not wanted traced back to you and your normal usage phone. I assume a burner profile is a account you would create to use once or maybe a few times, to say something hateful for example to someone while pretending to be their friend in your normal discourse. To be duplicitous. An ALT, would be the same concept, in that you keep two accounts, one is your Alternate eqo, the hateful spiteful troll for instance, the other account would be the good guy image, like me for instance.:)

I am fairly certain (I have no proof of course). That some members here have had Alt. profiles. I Know that some members that have been banned, have returned under different user names.

There are posters, that are not what they appear to be.

Are they related to the Pallet monsters?

It will never happen again.

After reading this a couple times, I think the OP is referring to someone that offers a short comment and it's their first post???? Maybe in that situation there would be an underlying motive??

I often post a couple word response to a thread. Actually it's common for me to get the message that my post isn't the required length.

I'm kinda slow and often miss the point. For example post count. Do you think there are members that actually post to raise their count?? Do you really think that?? That's so lame. I just think some people are noisy. No different than sitting at the round table in the coffee shop. There's always a guy sitting there that comments on everything, intelligently or not. I've actually got a buddy that does that. If you say something to him he ALWAYS responds, whether required or not. There are some members here that way. Heck there are some members here that would say I'm like that.

If I error it's usually on the side of not shutting up.

Hopefully I've posted a lengthy enough response to this that I won't be considered an alt or pallet monster or whatever other term might apply. :D

When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.
Say something once, why say it again?

Who gives a flying Duck what someone else does? As Ma said "Mind your own Boy, before someone minds it for ya"

You start a conversation you can't even finish it.
You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything.

When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.
Say something once, why say it again?
